Bevier, Barbara (b. 13 OCT 1928, d. 2 AUG 2003)
Note: BA from Pomona College in 1950. J.D. degree in law, U. of Connecticut 1986. Acts as as an attorney, arbitrator, and hearings officer. Connecticut State League of Women Voters Board of Directors 1978-1982. Elected to the Huguenot Historical Society Board of Trustees and is presently (2001) Secretary of the Board.
Howard Raymond Sacks earned BA from U. of Minnesota, 1941, Earned LLB from Yale Law School in 1948. Served in U.S. Army 1943-46. He attained the rank of Captain and served overseas. During the years 1967-1988 he was Professor and Dean of Law School at U. of Connecticut. He acts as an arbitrator in retirement.
Both Barbara and Howard were highly respected personal advisors to Past President of Huguenot Historical Society, Dale A. BeVier, during his term in office. Howard was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Huguenot Historical Society early in 1998. He was then elected President of the Board in August 1998. Barbara served as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Huguenot Historical Society for several years.
