Note: He emigrated to the USA from Europe in 1919. In March 1942 he went to work for Republic Aviation Corp. Because of his remarkable skills in production management and production engineering, he soon became manager of both Republic's plants in Framingdale, NY and Evansville, IN. By September 1943, he became Republic Aviation's fourth president. He led the company through the end of the war and during the post war era. He became Republic's Board Chairman late in December 1946 and died of congestive heart failure in November 1947.
