Note: He served in the U.S. Army and was a school teacher early in his career. Long time President and Director of the Huguenot Historical Society. Upon his retirement, he was honored with Trustee Emeritus status. The new Family Associations Center is dedicated to his memory. He was responsible for acquiring most of the historical properties now owned by the Huguenot Historical Society. His organization of the family associations to support and help maintain buildings owned by the HHS was a stroke of genius at the time. He encouraged and helped organize the Bevier-Elting Family Association in 1963 to help the Society support and maintain the Bevier-Elting Homestead. He served as treasurer of the Association, and was the third Bevier family genealogist. His publication, The Bevier Family in America, continues to be a valuable Bevier genealogical source.
