Note: From Biographical Review of Cayuga County: He married in his 24th year and moved to Livingston County, New York in 1824 where he rented land and was a part-time hatter. After eleven years, he returned to Owasco. In 1840, he traveled over the county selling papers, being widely known as the "Postman." In 1842 he bought a farm in the Town of Niles, which he occupied until 1850, when he purchased another. Selling the latter in 1854, he moved to Onondaga County, where he sojourned for but one year, and then again coming to Owasco, bought the farm known as the Hunsicker Farm. At the time of his death which took place in 1872, he had accumulated considerable property. He is listed as Abram in the Federal Census' of 1850 & 1860. In 1850 & 1870, he lived with his wife Mary and son John M. in Owasco Township, Cayuga County, New York. His real property was valued at $2,480.
