Note: In 1932, he was a member of the 110th Infantry of the Pennsylvania National Guard. He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College and he attended the theological seminaries at Princeton, Dallas, and Pittsburgh. His Presbyterian ministry included churches Putnam Presbyterian Church of Zanesville, Ohio,(1946-50), Terra Alta, West Virginia 1940-1941, Kingwood, W.VA, Wasach Academy in Utah, Lander, Wyoming. There he ministered ranches by horseback and branded cattle with the cowboys. He then went to Mansfield and Oak Hill, Ohio. He then entered a second career as administrator in the Toledo, Ohio School System. Then he retired to Santa Barbara, California, He was immobilized by a stroke for eight years prior to his death.
