Note: Marriage records state that he was the son of Abram and Lovinia Haight. In 1868, he received his mail at Union Corners Post Office. He was a farmer with 100 acres. He lived in Mt. Morris Township during the Federal Census of 1870 &1880. When he married Lucinda Chamberlain in 1860, she was designated as his second wife. His first wife's name is unknown. James was listed as working in a restaurant in Rochester, NY in 1888-1890. He is found in the 1900 census in Romulus, New York running a hotel known as the "Bevier Hotel" with his third wife, Martha A. Sage. The census indicated that they had been married 17 years with no issue.
