Note: Abraham Willet was married three times; the first wife was Esther Aikman of Columbia Cty., PA. They had two children and she died in September 1826. His second wife was Catherine Hazlett also of Columbia Cty., PA. After three years of marriage, the little family traveled by wagon to Ohio by way of Pittsburgh, PA. He carved out a farm and home in Cass Township, Ohio and made himself successful by virtue of hard work. His second wife died in 1843, leaving a family of small children. After a time, he married Leah Bevier of Richland County; they had two children Sarah and Ransom Willet. He grew to manhood, being 26 years and ten months old when he passed away. He resided in Richland County, Cass Twp., Ohio in 1870.

Note: From the Biographical Review of Cayuga County: J. Morris Bevier was educated in the district schools and in a select school in the Village of Owasco. Until the death of his father he was never separated from him. He succeeded to the ownership of the property and purchased an adjacent farm of thirty acres. He is now proprietor of 112 acres of fine land with two handsome sets of farm buildings. He was married February 10, 1864 to Miss Catherine T. Case, who was born in Sempronius, a daughter of Robert and Adeline (Tuthill) Case, both natives of Orange County. In politics Mr. Bevier is a Republican and has held the office of Supervisor for two years, 1879 and 1880. He was also Commissioner from 1866 to 1870. He is a member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen, Lodge #290 of Owasco. Being the possessor of one of the finest farms in the county, made so by the owner's thrift, energy, and sagacious management, he is now living retired from active labors. Mr. Bevier has filled public offices with credit and dignity, and is a man of high moral and intellectual worth.
During the census of 1870, John Morris was living with his father and step-mother in Owasco, Cayuga County, New York. Mary Selover, his stepmother, lived with him at the time of the 1880 Federal Census. John Morris was Owasco Town Supervisor in 1879. He resided in Scio Twp. in 1900.
