Note: He lived in Broome County, Chenango Township during the census of 1850 and Binghamton City in 1860. His occupation was railroad conductor. Henry Bevier was one of the founders of the Hathaway and Gordon Brewing Company of Rochester, New York. When he passed away he left a large estate to his widow and son, George Henry. George was lost at sea and his ship was never heard from. When Mrs. Bevier died at the age of 81, she left a major part of her estate to Rochester Institute of Technology. The Bevier Building, erected with this money, has been a long-time important part of the R.I.T. campus.
