Note: In 1880, the family resided in Plymouth Township, Richland County, Ohio and they were farmers. His parents, Charles and Rachel Conklin, lived with them. His wife is listed as Emma V. Conklin, born about 1857 in Ohio. In 1900, he lived in New Haven Township, Huron County, Ohio and his occupation was stock buyer. His wife is named Katherine born Jan 1849 in Ohio, they had been married 10 years and had no children together. Her parents were both born in Germany. Charles K. his son with Jennie Cuykendall is also listed.

Note: In 1880, he lived and worked on a farm owned by Oscar P. Howe in Eden, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. There is no mention of his wife. Sometimes he was called Dubois Bevier, other times Albert or Albert Dubois Bevier. He is sometimes confused with the Dubois Bevier, son of Dr. Josiah Bevier of Owasco, Cayuga Country, New York. The genealogists believe this Dubois, or Albert Dubois Bevier, was the person who purchased two parcels of land, each of 160 acres, from the U.S. Government Land Patent Office in Jun 30, 1884 and Oct 14, 1891 in South Dakota. One under the name of Dubois Bevier, the second under the name of Albert Bevier. In 1900 & 1910, he and his wife lived on a farm in Mt. Pleasant Township, Racine County, Wisconsin. His obit states he died at home in Racine, Wisconsin!

Note: In 1870, he resided in Clayton County, Mendon Twp., Iowa and was a fireman on the steam railroad. He then resided in Duluth, Minnesota. In 1880, he and brother Markham lived with Andrew Main and family in Duluth. Became an engineer on the railroad. After retiring from the RR he built houses and speculated in property around Duluth.
In 1905, he made plans to build a fast gasoline or kerosene powered boat. He lived in Duluth in 1910 and he was a retired engineer. He owned over 300 acres of land.

Note: He did not marry. He is listed in the Waukesha, Wisconsin Directory of 1890-91 as living in Brookfield, WI. Census of 1920 indicates his name may have been Markham Abram Bevier. His occupation in 1920 was promoter with an iron company. He was president of the Scott-Bevier Mining Company in 1911. He invented miner's drills advertised in 1906 as Simplex Drilling Equipment. In 1930, he lived in Duluth, Minnesota and he was a dealer in miner's lands. The Minnesota Death Index indicates he died May 15, 1944 in St. Louis County, Minnesota.
