Note: His tombstone indicates he died in 1912. An article in a New York newspaper dateline Jan 30, 1912 indicates he committed suicide in a New York City rooming house by means of gas poisoning. He told his landlady "Well, it's all over" after receiving a letter from Grand Rapids, Michigan in the afternoon. He was head of the Bevier Wood Preserving Company at that time and had some lawsuit problem with the City of Boston over an $85,000 contract. Andries worked as a super intendant of the Grand Rapids Street Railway Co. according to the city directory of 1890. Prior to that he was head of the land department of the Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad.
Fannie's date of death on her tombstone is 1919.
