Note: Article found in The Fort Wayne Sentinel newspaper 10/28/1899: Almeda Bevier of DeKalb County, is defendant in an action for $5,000 damages for slander. The plaintiff is Rev. Charles Moorman of that county. Rev. Mr. Moorman is affiliated with the ministry of the United Brethren Church, and the complaint alleges that Mrs. Bevier was guilty of using language which defamed the clergyman.
