Note: In 1901 he began the construction of an automobile. It was the third in the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, and was his own design. It was restored in 1958 and driven by the builder in parades. The records of its construction are still intact and it is displayed at Gage County Historical Society in Beatrice, Nebraska. Rueben was a tool and die maker and also an inventor.
