He is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Rockwood, Michigan, along with his wife and four of their unmarried children. The tombstone gives his name as Edwin. In 1880, he lived with his mother in Ash, Monroe County, Michigan. His tombstone name is Edwin S. Bevier 1850-1922. Another source indicates his middle name was Spencer.
