Note: Jacob I. Bevier signed the Articles of Association adopted 29 April 1775. He enlisted in 1775 in the Third Ulster Regiment of the New York State Militia and served as a private. He received Land Bounty Rights & a pension from a grateful government in April 1833. He and his family resided in New Paltz. He and his wife, Maria York, joined the church upon confession of faith on September 2, 1784. In 1788, he was made deacon in place of Petrus Bevier. He and his wife were buried in a private burying ground at Springtown, Ulster County.

Note: NY genealogical records show that in 1788 and 1816 he resided in Wawarsing, Ulster County, New York.

Note: Elias signed the Duzine paper in 1774. He served as a private in the 3rd Ulster Militia under Captain Hasbrouck. He participated in the battles of Saratoga, Stillwater, and Half Moon at Albany. With his team, he moved the "big chain" from Ridgewood, New Jersey to the Hudson River where it was laid to prevent the British from going upriver. He received Land Bounty Rights for his service. He joined the New Paltz Church on confession of faith with his wife in July 1791. The following month he was made deacon and later held the same office from 1809 until 1811. Elias came from New Paltz to Conklin, Chemung County, New York in 1815. A newspaper article indicates he died 21 Aug 1838. He was buried first in the Bevier Cemetery, but his remains were moved to Kirkwood Cemetery when a school was built on Bevier Street.
He was refused a Revolutionary War Pension because "he did not serve six months."
