Note: In census of 1870 & 1880 he was called Jay J. Bevier. He married and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. He died there. He is listed in the city directory in Minneapolis in 1890 as an engineer with the White & Lydon Co. His named is listed as Jay J. Bevier there. The J. probably stands for James as he is listed as James J. Bevier in the census of 1900 & 1905. In the Minnesota State Census of 1905 his occupation was listed as engineer. They resided in Ward 13, Minneapolis, Minnesota. His heritage has not been absolutely proven, but the circumstantial evidence of all his known records leave slim doubt as to his history.
