In the census of 1920, he was a lodger in Wayne County, City of Detroit. In 1930, he lived in Detroit, Michigan and was an automobile salesman.

Bevier was one of the founders, in 1927, of Pan American Airways, a fore-runner of Pan American World Airways. In the early 1930s he formed Bevier & Co., an advertising, marketing, and merchandising organization. He retired in 1965. His wife, Alene Pierson, was a daughter of Lewis E. Pierson, former board chairman of the Irving Trust Co. They resided in New Rochelle, New York and spent the summer season in East Hampton Beach on Long Island.
