Note: In 1917-18, he registered for the WW 1 draft in Montgomery, New York. He worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad in the auditing department. He lived with his mother in law, brother in law, James B. Donovan, and wife in Athens, Bradford County, Pennsylvania in 1920. In 1930, the family lived in Mesa County, West Pallisade Pct., Colorado. Alfred was a fruit farmer. In 1942, he worked for the New York, Ontario an Western RR in New York City and lived in Essex, New Jersey. There may have been two wives, one Elizabeth Donovan and the other Irene D.? This is confused in the census records. In any event there was a son born Alfred R. Bovier.
