Note: In 1906 &1910, he lived in Grand Island, Nebraska and he was a bookkeeper at a lumber yard. In 1910 his given name was listed as Millard. In 1917-18, he registered for the WW 1 draft in Marion Salem, County, Oregon. His occupation was lumberman. He lived in Salem, Oregon in 1916 and was elected president of a newly formed orchestra. He was a flute and fife player in that orchestra. He still lived in Salem, OR in 1920.

His WW 1 draft in 1917-18 registration completed in Spokane, Washington lists his date of birth as 19 Mar 1892 and place of birth New Ulm, Minnesota. He lived (boarder) in Los Angeles, California in 1920 & 1930. He was a watch maker. In 1922, an article in the Pasadena, California newspaper indicated he was Captain Bevier and with his mother had just formed a military school called Oak Knoll Military Academy.
