Allen, Charles Manley (b. 19 MAR 1932, d. 9 DEC 1991)

Note: He attended Clarkson College in New York State. Korean War veteran and was a driver for Major General Cleland - 40th Reg. Commander. Appointed to General Eisenhower's honor guard - 3rd infantry. Worked for IBM Co. for 37 years. Was a laboratory supervisor. He headed the development of the first laser at IBM. Winifred Anna Manzer raised six children, teaching them all music. They were known as "The Singing Allens" and performed regularly. Winnie was a pharmacy technician 1971-1981. She became the Cashier at Ithaca College until retirement. She has been a talented performing musician and musical leader all her adult life.

Trickler, Sarah Beulah (b. 27 AUG 1894, d. 5 MAY 1980)
Note: Graduated from Mechanics Institute [now Rochester Institute of Technology] in Rochester, New York in Home Economics, in 1916. She taught school for a time at Cazenovia Jr. College. Was in charge of feeding the workers on the Sprong Fruit Farm, Sodus, New York during picking season. She was an active participant in Methodist Church activities in Canandaigua, New York. For many years she was in charge of the kitchen at large dinners at the church. She was a Mayflower descendant, but never knew it for her son's interest in genealogy, sadly, came after her death in 1980.

Howland, Douglas Leo (b. 12 JUL 1920, d. 8 OCT 1999)
Note: Graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology 1941 in art. Served in US Army in Europe during WW II. Attained rank of Master Sgt. Occupation was that of a museum diorama specialist with the Rochester, New York Bausch Museum, and as a supervisor of exhibit preparation in the State Museum of New York, in Albany. Very talented artist, specializing in birds and animals. He illustrated several books including the Colliers Encyclopedia bird plates. Doug was an avid fisherman and hunter during his early years.
